Gold From Golgotha // How God Became King

Are you ready for a bold statement? Here goes: Our God, Jesus Christ, is the King of the World. And no—not in some spiritual, theoretical, or “far off future” sense. He is currently enthroned, ruling the world with grace and truth. That’s the truth. And that truth should change everything for us. Which brings us to a second bold statement: Most Christians don’t know or don’t live like this is the case. You see, when we realize the full weight of the fact that Jesus is King—how it happened and what it means—we will never see our faith the same way again.

Jesus routinely sought out the outcasts—prostitutes, pagans, tax collectors. And something amazing happened when he did…instead of their sin making Jesus unclean, his presence brought them healing. And King Jesus is still doing the same today. He is drawing our sin onto himself, conquering it, and providing us with new, purpose-filled life. Long live the King!
