Eyes On The Throne // How God Became King

Are you ready for a bold statement? Here goes: Our God, Jesus Christ, is the King of the World. And no—not in some spiritual, theoretical, or “far off future” sense. He is currently enthroned, ruling the world with grace and truth. That’s the truth. And that truth should change everything for us. Which brings us to a second bold statement: Most Christians don’t know or don’t live like this is the case. You see, when we realize the full weight of the fact that Jesus is King—how it happened and what it means—we will never see our faith the same way again.

If God is our King and we’re living in his Kingdom, that means all other “kings” and “kingdoms” must be exposed for the imposters they are. We need to rid our lives of unworthy things competing for our hearts. So how do we stay focused on Jesus and build a Kingdom mindset?
