Stewarding A Story // Vision and Victory

There’s always a battle going on in one way or another. But every battle Jesus wages, he wins! When we see through his eyes and his power, and we are prepared to obey, we can confidently envision victory.

Romans 8: 31-39

God does miracles, but we are responsible to manage the story.

Stewarding A Story

Joshua 4:1-9

The Israelites had been given a promise, but they hadn’t seen it fulfilled yet.

Stewardship: He gives it, I manage it.

Gratitude is an action, not a feeling.

God commands you to praise him, wherever you are on the journey.

We all are promised miracles.
The challenge is to manage the miracle when we are in the middle.

You have to have the courage to stand in the middle with gratitude, even when the water is all around you.

Stewarding the story is your lifetime calling.

When your children ask you, tell them what God did.”

Joshua 4:1-9

The Isarelites fought and won many battles between Joshua 4 and Judges 2. But Judges 2 records one of the saddest and scariest stories ever told…

After Joshua sent the people away, each of the tribes left to take possession of the land allotted to them. And the Israelites served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and the leaders who outlived him—those who had seen all the great things the Lord had done for Israel. Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of 110. They buried him in the land he had been allocated, at Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash. After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel.
Judges 2:6-10

They lost their awe.
They quit telling the story.

YOU have a story.
WE have a story.

You are writing the story of tomorrow with the way you steward the story today.
A miracle life requires you to share the story.

I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
through all generations.

Psalm 89:1
