Philippians 4:8 says, “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” (NLT)
This guided meditation will help you focus your thoughts on the truths of what God says about you while attempting to catch toxic thoughts (lies from the enemy) and turn them toward God's truths. The goal is to help align your thoughts with those things referred to in Philippians 4:8.
During this time, you will be encouraged to get comfortable in your own space (lay on a yoga mat, sit on the floor, sit against the wall, or in a chair), close your eyes, and be guided through multiple meditation techniques, including breathing techniques, focused attention, a body scan, and positive affirmations speaking truth over your life. All of these techniques will focus on the truths of God's love and promise in your life.
Meditation can be used during prayer to listen for God's response, to quiet an anxious mind, to help calm the body before bed, or to retrain the brain when responding to trauma. No matter where you are in your meditation journey, this guided meditation will leave you focused on God's love.
