Water, Water Everywhere, and Not a Drop to Drink

Jesus, the one who loves us most, used his last breath and his last words to address our deepest needs.

Jesus was the God-man. He was the Living Water, but he willingly put aside his power to pay our debt. He understands our situations.

Message Notes

Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.” John 19:38

All things were accomplished—the Water of Life was drained dry.

He neglected his own needs until he was certain the battle was won.

God was very careful to identify His Son as the promised Savior.

Mistaken identity is tragic.

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:16

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Jesus wants to share his victory with you.

Jesus was fully human and understands everything I go through.
But he is also fully God and will carry anything I give to him.
He is interceding for me.

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:15

Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who hadthe power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. Hebrews 2:14-15

I will never experience anything that Jesus does not understand and have the ability to help me through.

Turn to the power of Jesus in your pain instead of false comforters.

Bottom Line

No one understands like Jesus. He can handle me.

Next Steps

1) Honestly evaluate where you are not allowing Jesus to be enough.

2) For the next 30 days, go to him first with every issue.
